Frequently asked questions
Is my CV data private?
Yes. Your CV is encrypted in the database and only you can access it via your account. Liftoff does NOT sell data to third parties and does NOT use your CV to train AI. You can export everything or permanently delete your account at any time from Settings — no request queue.
What is ATS?
ATS = Applicant Tracking System — the software many companies use to filter CVs before a human reads them. ATS-friendly means your CV is parsed correctly: fonts, formatting, and section order don't trip up the parser. Liftoff's 14-rule ATS check catches the most common issues.
Does the AI write good Vietnamese?
Yes. Liftoff uses Google Gemini, which handles Vietnamese well. If your CV is in English the AI keeps it in English, so the recruiter reads what you wrote.
How is this different from TopCV / Canva?
TopCV is a template + manual form. Liftoff uses AI to rewrite bullets, tailor against a JD, and write the cover letter — you don't need to know what makes a good CV, AI does the hard part. Export to Canva later if you want to polish the design.
Does AI match my CV against job listings?
Yes. The Jobs feed shows curated VN tech roles ranked by match score against your current CV — you see covered and missing skills at a glance. One click tailors a CV variant + cover letter for the role.
What's free and what costs money?
Free: uploading a CV, the 14-rule ATS score, editing by hand, switching template, PDF export, the jobs board. Paid: letting the AI rewrite a CV (1 credit for that whole CV, however many lines you fix) and tailoring to a JD with a cover letter (2 credits). Accounts created before 10 Aug 2026 stay free for everything through Q3 2026, as published.
